Simple Distillation Kit w/ 500ml Flask & Hardware

This distillation kit comes with a 500ml distilling flask with a side arm, a number 5 rubber stopper with a hole, a thermometer that ranges from 0-300 Fahrenheit, approximately one gram of boiling chips (aluminum oxide, boileezers), a 6x9 cast iron base ring stand with 24" rod, bosshead clamp, and retort clamp with interlocking jaws for holding the flask. Distillation is a widely used method for separating mixtures based on differences in the conditions required to change the phase of components of the mixture. To separate a mixture of liquids, the liquid can be heated to force components, which have different boiling points, into the gas phase. The gas is then condensed back into liquid form and collected.
